Sample Itinerary (5 Days)

Day 1: Journey into the Wilderness

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Medan or the airport. Enjoy a scenic drive as the city views transform into palm oil and rubber plantations, before arriving at the tranquil village of Bukit Lawang on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and listening to the sounds of the jungle, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Orangutan Adventure & Highland Drive

In the morning, begin your trekking adventure into the jungle to search for Sumatran Orangutans. After this incredible experience, we will continue our journey towards Berastagi, a cool highland town with stunning mountain scenery. You will notice the temperature drop as we ascend into the Karo highlands.

Day 3: Spectacular Highland Views

Explore the vibrant fruit and flower market of Berastagi, then ascend Gundaling Hill to see views of Mount Sinabung and Sibayak. The journey continues to the majestic Sipiso-piso Waterfall before we arrive in Parapat, the main gateway to Lake Toba. The first glimpse of the vast lake is a moment you won’t forget.

Day 4: Cultural Charm of Samosir Island

We will cross by ferry to Samosir Island, the island in the heart of Lake Toba. Today is dedicated to exploring the unique Batak culture, visiting ancient villages like Tomok to see the tomb of King Sidabutar, and Ambarita to see the stone chairs where elders once gathered for trials and important meetings.

Day 5: Farewell to Lake Toba

Enjoy your last morning with breakfast by the tranquil lake. Afterwards, we will begin the journey back to Medan or directly to Kualanamu Airport for your onward flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of North Sumatra’s incredible diversity.

Embark on a half-day or full-day jungle trek to see the Sumatran Orangutans and other amazing wildlife. Return to your guesthouse in the afternoon.

Day 3: Overland Journey to the Coast

A travel day, as we drive from the jungles of Bukit Lawang to the coastal town of Singkil, the gateway to the Banyak Islands. Overnight in Singkil.

Day 4: Welcome to Paradise

Take a private boat from Singkil to the breathtaking Banyak Islands. Check into your island bungalow and spend the afternoon swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the white-sand beach.

Day 5: Island Hopping & Snorkeling

Explore the stunning archipelago on a private boat. We will visit several islands, including Pulau Palambak and Pulau Tailana, stopping to snorkel over pristine coral reefs and enjoy a fresh-cooked lunch on a deserted beach.

Day 6: Free Day in Paradise

Day 7: Journey Home

After a final island breakfast, we take the boat back to Singkil and then drive back to Medan or Kualanamu Airport for your departure, filled with amazing memories.
